Periodically, I will provide the list serv with important updates and policy determinations from the U.S. Trustee program.  Please feel free to disseminate same to the entire Bankruptcy Bar.
 
An important new policy came out last month regarding car ownership and lease payments (lines 23 and 24).  In the past, we initially said that a debtor could claim the quasi fixed IRS amounts for ownership or lease payments for up to two vehicles including motorcycles, if he or she had a payment on them.  Now, absent a showing of reasonableness and necessity, the Program is adopting a one debtor one car policy.
